Garching near München – LION E-Mobility AG is pleased to announce that LION Smart GmbH received an order from Grande West Transportation Group Ltd. for engineering services in the field of development and integration. The volume of the development contract is in the mid six-digit euro range. Grande West Transportation is a Canadian company which designs and constructs medium-sized multi-purpose transit vehicles for public and commercial companies. It is based in Aldergrove, British Columbia, Canada.

Baar (CH), October 29, 2020 – LION E-Mobility AG, a listed Swiss holding company with strategic investments in the field of electrical energy storage and lithium-ion battery system technology, has implemented a capital increase from authorized capital as of October 29, 2020. The unanimous resolution of the Board of Directors was based on the authorization granted by the extraordinary general meeting dated June 27, 2019, and with reference to art. 3a of the articles of association regarding the authorized share capital.

Baar (CH) – LION E-Mobility AG, a listed Swiss holding company with strategic investments in the field of electrical energy storage and lithium-ion battery system technology, has implemented a conditional capital increase as of October 14, 2020 (entry in the Commercial Register of the Canton of Zug) to service the stock option plans of LION Smart GmbH and the compensation of the Board of Directors of LION E-Mobility AG.

LION Smart has been working on a cooperation project for some time, supported by the funding of the project Clean Sky 2 Joint Undertaking and the European Unions’ Horizon 2020, in cooperation with TWT GmbH and Dassault Aviation and support by Hon. Prof. Paul H. Riley as well as Dr. Obrad Dordevic. The aim of the project is to achieve a significant reduction in carbon dioxide emissions in the aerospace industry by electric drive.

LION Smart GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of LION E-Mobility AG, developed a battery application for maritime propulsion concepts as part of a customer project, which has now received official DNV GL certification. During the certification process, particular attention was paid to software functions, hardware design, electromagnetic compatibility and the safety of the overall system.
On 25 September 2020, Thomas Hetmann, CFO of LION E-Mobility AG and Managing Director of LION Smart GmbH, was invited to speak at the Baader Bank capital market conference, to introduce the company and to answer investors’ questions.
Garching, August 12, 2020 – LION Smart GmbH was able to generate revenues of 4,416 k EUR in Q2 2020 alone – a significant increase compared to the revenues of 2,032 k EUR in Q1. This was mainly due to the positive business with our North American customers, as well as additional development orders.

LION Smart GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of LION E-Mobility AG, has been commissioned by one of the world’s leading Tier 1 suppliers to further develop the LIGHT Battery and the system-relevant components for cooling, electrics and electronics (battery management system). The development contract has a volume of several million Euro.
Zug, July 9, 2020 – We like to announce that the management of LION E-Mobility AG and Christian Kutscher, Managing Director at LION Smart GmbH (Munich) and advisor to the board of LION E-Mobility AG (Zug), have agreed upon a discontinuation of their cooperation. Christian Kutschers contract had ended on June 30, 2020. Thomas Hetmann will remain as sole managing director of LION Smart GmbH.
