27.04.2009
Lithium-ion battery tester and developer LION Smart has closed its first private placement. The new financing boosts company equity and includes an injection of capital from an outside investor.
Separately, the company has welcomed its first advisory board member, Martin Ertl, Chief Innovation Officer at Bombardier Transportation in Berlin.
Mr. Ertl will advise LION Smart on various aspects of its business and in the way it carries out its business plan.
He has extensive work experience with companies such as AUDI AG and BMW Group. He is currently crafting Bombardier Transportation’s sustainable innovation strategy.
“We look forward to working with Mr. Ertl. His profile is an excellent fit for the LION Smart team,” said LION Smart CEO, Daniel Quinger.
The construction of LION Smart’s high-tech-battery laboratory is continuing according to plan. Starting in June 2009, the company will have eight test channels available for lithium-ion batteries from automotive applications.
