LION Smart Production GmbH delivers first battery packs from own production
Baar (Switzerland)/Hildburghausen, 15 May 2023 – LION Smart Production GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of LION E-Mobility AG for the production of electrical energy storage systems and lithium-ion battery system technology, delivered first LION SE09 battery packs in the past week, which were produced at the company’s own plant in Hildburghausen in southern Thuringia meaning that the time schedule was met as announced. More trucks will now leave production every week to deliver LION batteries all over the world.
“Being able to deliver the first battery packs is an emotional moment for all LION employees. We are now officially a battery manufacturer that will contribute to electrification in the mobility sector and beyond. I am proud of the whole team. The delivery of our first LION SE09 is the reward for all the hard work in the past weeks and months”, summarises Winfried Buss, Managing Director of LION Smart Production GmbH.
